Kinyemi Rhodesian Ridgebacks
(Denmark)
I first came across the Rhodesian Ridgeback, when I met my late husband in 1992. He had a 2-year-old male, a short and heavy type with a kink in his tail, which had to be amputated. Not a show/breeding dog but a fantastic companion. It was love at first sight from both of us.
In my childhood, we had Yorkshire Terriers and a Dachshund, so dogs have always played a big part of my live, and I knew that I would have a dog of my own one day. Before I met my late husband, I lived in the heart of Copenhagen, so I decided to wait for the right time to come.
After living with “Batman” the ridgeback for a few years, I decided that it was time for another ridgeback and a bitch that I could try showing. In 1996, Anzika was born, and we also purchased a litter sister Ahsante with an extra crown - just as a pet. My show career had begun and what a world to enter. I have enjoyed it very much, and have gained many new friendships, that is still lasting today.
At some point the idea of having a litter, came to my mind, and I started taking the breeding classes held by The Danish Kennel Club, and in 1998 I purchased my kennel name KINYEMI – meaning “something nice and pleasing” in Zulu. In 1999, the first litter was born. From this litter I kept a bitch A’Fora. Her and her litter brother “Buksie” was BOB/BOS in our club for 5 years in a row. I still enjoy this bitch line, and at home, I have A'Foras great great granddaughter Makalu (5 years.). I have always aimed to get new bloodlines into my breeding, through the sire, but also with bitch imports from USA, Australia, Sweden & Ukraine.
I had enjoyed a total of 16 litters under my prefix, and numerous champions from these different combinations.
I have held different positions in the RR club of Denmark since 1997, but mostly as chairperson. I have taken a step down, but am a member for the Danish Kennel Club board from district 6, and I am the chairman of the Danish Kennel Clubs ID (microchip) board. I enjoy my trips to breeders of all breeds, and to microchip their puppies.
My wish to take the love for the breed a step further, got me started with judging some years ago, and The Danish Kennel Club approved me in 2016. I have judged in Denmark (both club and the prestigious Copenhagen Winner show), Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands and Israel. I am also authorized to judge the Dalmatians, Bavarian Mountain Scent dog and soon the Porcelaine.

Official Photographer
Patrik Berger
This has come about as a merging of various interests that I have and with a bit of poking and prodding from family and friends. Those that know me will be aware that I like ‘geeky’ stuff. I also love taking photographs, particularly since digital has made everything so much more accessible….. and yes I am of the 35mm film vintage and fondly remember rolling my own black and white film cartridges and processing in the bathroom on a weekend. On top of that our family owns, breeds and shows dogs, Pointers to be exact.
Hence all those interests have come together in the formation of Patrik Berger Photography. In South-East Queensland there is a void with professional photographers to take photos at the various shows. I totally understand that it would be very difficult to run a successful business in this field. Everybody has some sort of camera and these days and is taking photos of their dogs (or others) You need to be exceptional to make a living out of this field. Generally I have received positive comments about my photos and more recently people have been suggesting I take them more frequently.

Meet the Lure Coursing Judge
Ms Helen Mosslar
I discovered Rhodesian Ridgebacks in 1984 and thought they were a wonderful breed of dog that I could do stuff with, so in 1985 I brought my first purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback. Since then, I have owned and bred many RR’s and owned one Hungarian Vizsla. Together we have done many things including showing,
obedience, rally, agility, flyball, lure coursing, endurance, nose works and my RR’s have even appeared on stage in the ballet Giselle.
Dogs I have bred or owned often have titles at both ends of their names and its important to me that dogs bred today can still be sound functional representatives of their breed.
I’ve been a member of several Dog Training Clubs in the ACT since 1984 and am a Life Member of the
Tuggeranong Dog Training Club. Soon after joining the dog clubs, I became an Obedience and Agility
Instructor and became licensed to judge all classes in Agility, as well as Endurance Tests, in the early 1990’s.
I was regularly participating with my dogs in Sighthound Racing and Lure Coursing when they were run as
unofficial activities. In 2016 I became involved with ANKC Lure Coursing when it was officially recognised as
a dog sport and have been judging it since 2017.
Although I still show my dogs and they win in both the All Breeds and Speciality rings, my love is really with
dog sports as this is where the dogs natural abilities and personalities really shine. As a dog sports judge,
I’ve been lucky enough to have judged all over Australia and I still get a buzz watching dogs doing what
comes naturally for them and the sheer joy on their faces as they do it.
Lure Coursing Photographer
Penny Parker
My name is Penny Parker, I grew up in Canberra, moved to Queensland in 2010.
I started Lure coursing with my dogs Maggie and Chewie in June 2021. I wanted to capture every moment of my dogs enjoyment while they were on the field.
I picked up a camera and begun a new hobby - taking lure coursing photos. To practice my skills, I started taking photos of all the dogs on the field and shared all the moments I was able to capture.
I have such a blast behind the camera, I love capturing organic, authentic and all the silly moments your dogs have on the field.
It brings me so much joy to be able to capture these moments and share them with you.
I want to make you feel like you were there with them as they run with the wind in their ears.
More information on purchasing images and action shot bundles to come!
